As the culminating celebration for Black History Month at the PLC, Communities in Schools hosted a Soul Food Dinner for students and teachers. The meal included fried chicken, collard greens, sweet potato souffle, and much more. Guests and meal contributors included Frank Jones of the Omega Psi Phi, Ouida Sams of Delta Sigma Theta, Rosie Walker of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Edna English of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kendra Scott of Alpha Kappa Alpha, and James Lee of Kappa Alpha Psi. Students were also treated to a visit by Miss Rome Taylor Burrell. The PLC appreciates the support provided by these individuals and organizations.
